The chat functionality in Zoom is designed to enable communication without using the call or meeting functionality.
A key part of this is following along with conversations.
The easiest way to keep track of a conversation is to get notifications when new messages are available.
However, in busy text channels, this can get pretty annoying pretty quickly.
you’ve got the option to be spammed with notifications for things that arent important to you.
To provide another option, Zoom allows you to follow message threads.
You canenable notificationsfor messages youre following; it’s crucial that you go into Zooms tweaks.
To reach the parameters, select your user icon in the top-right corner.
To access Zooms prefs, choose your user icon, then on prefs in the dropdown menu.
Once youre in the configs, switch to the Chat tab.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Chat prefs.
Then tick the checkbox labeled Notify me about new replies on messages I am following.
This can be applied to all servers or specific servers using the With exception for Channels button.
