Just like a car needs maintenance to run smoothly, your Windows computer will also need maintenance.
You may already be using third-party software to keep your gear running smoothly.
But whether you know it or not, your gear has also been running some maintenance.
Its called Windows Automatic Maintenance.
Or, may theyve noticed that their computer runs a lot slower after that maintenance.
you’ve got the option to do this by opening theControl Panel.
Search for in the search bar and choose theOpenoption.
Now go toSystem and Security> Security and Maintenance> Maintenance.
punch the dropdown menu for maintenance for more options.
UnderAutomatic Maintenance, you should see theStop Maintenanceoption if maintenance is in progress.
Youll also see a message letting you know that Windows automatically schedules maintenance activities on your machine.
But at what time?
Below Automatic Maintenance, you will see the time and date of the last maintenance.
To change the maintenance time, click theChange Maintenance parameters.
Youll see a long list of times you’ve got the option to choose from.
Choose your new maintenance time, and youre all set.
But, what some users want to do is disable it.
If you go into your computers controls, you wont find an option to do that.
Youll need to go into the Registry.
Its always best to create a backup of the Registry if unintentional changes are made.
Having a backup of everything is always something experts recommend since you never know when something might go wrong.
