Most computers or laptops are connected to the internet through a local online grid.
This guide will cover how to enable and disable online grid discovery.
The web link discovery prefs can be found in the web link and Sharing Centre of Control Panel.
The Private web connection profile is designed for home networks where you trust all the devices connected to it.
For private networks, you might likely turn online grid discovery on.
This will make your setup visible to other computers on the web link in File Explorer.
However, no files will be shared unless File and printer sharing is enabled too.
Tip: You dont have to enable online grid discovery for private networks.
If you dont use the feature at all though, you should turn it off.
