When you think of Fast Startup in Windows, you think of something that will help you.
One of those reasons is that you may not be able to apply the updates your box receives.
It has also been known to interfere with encrypted disk images and lock the Windows hard disk.
All the steps to get there are the same for both versions of Windows.
Youll need to access Power Options to make the necessary changes.
you’re able to go there byright-clicking on the Windows Start menuand clicking onPower Options.
Once youre inPower and Sleep, choose the link that saysAdditional power settingsto the right of your display.
Itll be underRelated parameters.
The Power Options window should now appear.
When it does, nudge the Choosewhat the power buttons dooption on the left.
To the right of the shield icon, tap on the link that saysChange that is currently unavailable.
Change when the computer sleeps.
If you want to turn it on, ensure the box has a checkmark.
To turn it off, do not check the box for this option.
The steps previously mentioned are the same for both versions of Windows.
When youre done, dont forget to click dont the runSave Changesbutton at the bottom right.
In the right pane, youll see various options.
Look for and grab the one that saysHiberbootEnabled.
Right-select it and choose theModifyoption.
The one turns Fast Startup zero turns it off.

check that that you enter the correct number.
Once its open, key in:Powercfg -h off
