This option minimizes the number of channels visible in the sidebar at any one time.
This makes it easier to see which channels have unread messages.
To do so, choose your profile picture in the top-right corner.
punch your profile picture in the top-right corner, then punch Preferences.
Once in preferences, switch to the Sidebar tab and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Alternatively, if youve started a few channels and still want to be able to see those too.
grab the Unread conversations, plus your Starred section.
you could sort private channels separately by ticking the List private channels separately checkbox.
Or sort channels alphabetically and direct messages by recent activity.
