Within companies or community workspaces, you may have some important contact points for some reason or another.
While this information can be stored in a Slack channel using mentions, that doesnt really work outside Slack.
It is possible, however, to link directly to peoples Slack profiles from outside of Slack.
To do so, you should probably combine the users member ID with the workspace URL.
Tip: For a link like that to work, you should probably be a specified Slack Workspace member.
Obviously, to create a link like this to a users profile, you oughta know their member ID.
press a users name, then click View full profile in the mini-popup.
hit the triple-dot icon labeled More, then click Copy member ID at the bottom of the popup.
Sometimes it can be useful to directly link to an important contacts Slack from outside of Slack.
