Naturally, users are key to the existence of Slack workspaces.
Without them, theres no one to post or read messages.
Having new users join a workspace can be a lifeline for struggling community workspaces.
To get there, you first need to snag the workspace name in the top-right corner.
In the default options tab, press the Expand button for the Notify of new users options.
Click Expand next to Notify of new users in the default options tab.
In the Notify of new users section, untick (or tick!)
the checkbox labelled Notify everyone when a new teammate joins, then click Save to apply the change.
