Notifications are an incredibly useful part of mobile phones.
They let you know when youve received a message, or something important has happened.
However, you dont necessarily want to always be able to see them immediately.
This guide will walk you through the process of disabling notification previews.
General preview configs
The notification preview configs can be found in the configs app, under Notifications.
The default setting can be chosen at the top, app-specific prefs are available below.
Tapping Show Previews will open a page where you could choose the default notification preview visibility.
The possible parameters are Always, When Unlocked and Never.
Always is the default appearance of notifications, the preview text will always be visible.
When Unlocked is in between the other two options.
Activating it means that, when the phone is unlocked, notifications act as normal and previews are shown.
When the phone is locked, notifications will appear as they do with the Never setting though.
Notifications will have the notification text replaced with the word Notification.
When viewing the notifications configs for a specific app you might override the default preview visibility setting.
The default setting can be overridden on an app by app basis.
