With the release of the Fitbit Versa 4 and Fitbit Sense 2, the company introduced an all-new layout that looks more like Wear OS on the Pixel Watch.
And in addition to the design and UI changes, Fitbit also announced it was making it possible to install and use Google Wallet for the first time.
Until now, the only way for you to use mobile payments on select Fitbit models was to rely on Fitbit Pay.
However, this isnt something that everyone really wanted to use, especially if you already rely on Google Wallet.
Thanks to a recent update to both the Versa 4 and Sense 2, you’re free to finally use and install Google Wallet on Fitbit Versa 4 and Fitbit Sense 2.
How to Install Google Wallet on Fitbit Versa 4 and Fitbit Sense 2
Just like using Google Wallet on an Android smartwatch or your Android phone, you are required to have a 4-digit PIN set up.
This is done as a security measure so that prevent unwanted purchases from being made in the event that someone else gets ahold of your phone or smartwatch.
Add A Payment Card To Google Wallet
If you are already using Google Wallet, chances are that your most commonly-used cards are already available.
However, if you get a new credit card or need to replace an expired card, you’re free to add a payment card to Google Wallet that can be then used on your Fitbit of choice.
Heres how you’re able to add a payment card to Google Wallet:
Once the verification code has been entered, the new card will be added to Google Wallet.
It can then be used whenever you should probably make a purchase, and it’s possible for you to even set your new card as the default when using Tap to pay.
Alternatively, Fitbit and Google have also made it easy to remove any cards from Google Wallet, without actually opening the Google Wallet app on your phone.
This makes it really easy and convenient to organize the cards that you want to use for mobile payments from your Fitbit.
As you might expect, it’s possible for you to also add or remove cards from the dedicated Google Wallet app on your phone.
