Talk about an invasion of privacy.

Here are a few ideas for you.

Interference

There are some usual sources of interference.

Try using your phone away from them.

Microwave ovens, florescent lights and power cables etc.

are responsible for static interference a lot of times.

The alternative is to go to parameters > Do Not Disturb.

Then verify if it is set to Off.

Clean Up A Bit

Okay, dont get defensive!

You could be the tidiest person but very rarely do people think about cleaning the speakers on their phones.

So remove all the guards, protective films and your smart case and see if the receiver is dirty.

If you do detect some grime (not your fault at all!

), be sure to use a soft brush.

And, um, confirm that the brush is clean too.

These were the suggestions that Apple has given to solve your FaceTime static problem.

The unit will restart itself.

Sign back in, and the static should be gone.

Earphones

In case youre using Earphones, check to see if the problem is not with them.

Sometimes, older earbuds or earphones with fraying wires can cause that static sound.
