You never know when youll come across it.
Youll see this error when youre using a floating app and then start using an app you just installed.
This newly installed app could ask for access rights and when it does you get the dreaded issue notification.
On the top right of your display, youll see the More option you should probably select.
When the popup window appears, choose the option that says Apps that can appear on top .
Swipe down until you see the apps that have this permission and toggle off a few.
One app that I would recommend you turn off is Messenger.
Once youve turned off a few apps, try relaunching the app that gave you the screen overlay error.
Press the power button until the options appear.
Now that youre in Safe Mode, go to configs followed by Apps.
Tap on the app you think is causing the issue and select permissions.
Enable all of the permissions the app was asking for before and then reboot your phone.
If you have an older Android phone that runs on Marshmallow, youll run into this problem frequently.
But, newer Android phones rarely suffer this problem but dont be surprised if it appears one day.
Apps to Uninstall
There are apps that are known to cause problems.
If thats your case youll need to disable one-handed operations.
Go to configs and tap on Advanced features.
One-handed operations will be the first option at the top.
Tap on it and toggle off one-handed operations at the bottom.
Now, make a run at use the app that gave you the screen overlay error.
Hopefully, the problem will be gone.
