In the yet-to-be-released MIUI 12, there are rumors of an enhanced reading mode similar to an e-ink display.

So lets set it up, shall we?
Step 1
Power on your Xiaomi rig by pressing and holding the power button.
you might skip this step your unit is already on.
Step 2
Navigate to theApplicationsmenu and selectSettings.
The configs menu can also be accessed by swiping down from the top of the screen.
Step 4
Within the display, navigate to theScreengroup.
If the status is Off, click onReading mode.
It can also help relieve eye strain when the rig is being used in dark places or at night.
Like Reading mode, the status is displayed by the right side of the tab.
For now, lets continue to focus onReading mode.
If using Good nights read, the display will revert at sunrise to its initial brightness.
To manually customize the time, selectCustom period.
Just below these options are a brightness bar that can be adjusted to your preferred brightness setting.
