As with all phone services, your phone number is the primary communication method and communication on the platform.
Because it is a Google service, though, it also has access to your email address.
By default, anyone who knows your email address can look you up and contact you on Google Duo.
press the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner of the web tool.
grab the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner of the web system to initiate the configs.
Once in the options, click to expand the Account section.
Then pick the People can contact you using your email address slider to the Off position.
Youll be required to confirm that youll be removed from all groups that use your email address.
If this is an issue, you will have to keep the setting enabled.
Or, change your details in the affected groups to use your phone number.
Click Turn off if youre ok with being removed from any groups that use your email address.
