Thankfully you’re able to shut down the feature if you dont like it.
To do so, open your configs and scroll down to Google.
Youll see an overview of some options on your Google account.
Next, punch data & messaging.
On the resulting screen, youll see an option for app preview messages.

hit that option, and youll be faced with a slider.
Switch the previews to Off, and when prompted, tap on okay.
