This issue usually occurs after selecting your drive.
Unplug the USB drive, and have another go.
If the issue persists, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Most likely, the tool doesnt have permission to run on your system.
To solve the problem, right-grab the Media Creation Tool executable file, and selectProperties.
Then, click onGeneraland hit theUnblockbutton located at the bottom of the window.
Save the changes and have another go.
Format Your USB Flash Drive
If the issue persists, format your USB thumb drive.
Go toThis PC, right-tap on your USB flash drive, and selectFormat.
Select theNTFSfile system format, and hit theStartbutton.
Keep in mind that formatting your USB drive will erase everything on it.
check that to back up important files.
Then, create a new bootable USB drive, and retry.
If theyre not, you should probably restart them manually.
Then, format your USB flash drive using the NTFS file system format.
Additionally, verify that the Windows Update and Background Intelligence Transfer services are running in the background.
