Slack may sometimes fail to detect your camera and microphone.
Oftentimes,incorrect system settingsare to blame for this problem.
The good news is that you should be able to quickly troubleshoot the issue by tweaking your parameters.
Windows 10
If youre on Mac, punch theApple menu, selectSystem Preferences,and go toSecurity and Privacy.
Then tap on thePrivacytab, select theCamera and Microphoneoptions and double-check Slack is on the list.
Then tick the Slack checkbox.
This means the app can access and use your built-in camera and mic or external audio and video devices.
reset your box and download Slack again.
roll out the app and verify if the problem is gone.
