Many users noticed the NotePad++Search Resultswindow does not always show up.
Not being able to quickly dive into the search results can be very annoying.
This forces users to manually look up the information or sequence theyre interested in.
Of course, its best to avoid such time-consuming tasks.
Check your transparency configs
If you set theTransparencysettings toAlways, the search results will go permanently transparent or invisible.
This should make the window smaller.
Go to transparency controls and enable transparency only on losing focus.
Use the menu
Opening the search results directly from the menu is another handy workaround that you could use.
To do that, you might either hit theF7 keyor tap on theSearchmenu and select theSearch Results window.
Important note:Dont delete the whole folder, remove only the config file.
This should dock theFind resultswindow back to the bottom of your Notepad++ window.
If nothing worked and you cant see the search results, try uninstalling and reinstalling Notepad++.
