Teams may sometimes throw up a strange alert that says the service failed to revamp your profile.
The alert reads as follows: Failed to refresh your Profile.
We could not revamp your profile information.
Select Use another account to sign out and use another account.
Select Retry to retry updating your profile.
Unfortunately, hitting the Retry button doesnt do anything.
Go towww.teams.microsoft.com, and select Use the web app instead to open Teams in a online window.
For the best results, use Edge or Chrome.
If the alert disappears, the issue is with the desktop app.
it’s possible for you to also plant the Teams Mobile app and peek if you notice any improvements.
Teams failing to patch your profile may indicate your account has not yet been provisioned entirely from the backend.
Wait for a few hours and take another crack later.
erase the App Cache
If the issue persists, power cycle your rig and take another crack.
Simply delete your mobile number as a means of login.
Go back to your Microsoft account, and update everything.
Then launch the Teams desktop app and find out if the issue persists.
If it does, try changing your profile picture and see if this makes any difference.
By the way, after removing your phone number, Microsoft will prompt you to add a new one.
Youll also receive a verification code when adding a new phone number.
you could use the same number you previously deleted; it really doesnt matter.
Save the changes, and venture to sign in to your Teams account.
Reinstall Teams
If the Teams app got corrupted, uninstall it and reset your box.
Then, go to Microsofts official website andmanually download Teams.
Double-go for the installer to set up the app.
peek if installing a fresh copy of the app solves the problem.
Additionally, dump the app cache.
Then, go to your Microsoft Account page, and delete your mobile number as a means of login.
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall Teams.
