Unfortunately, many users complained trending searches wont disappear no matter what they do.
If youre experiencing the same issue, follow the steps below.
If theyre still visible, follow the steps below to turn off the feature.
If you want to disable this feature on Android or iOS, go togoogle.com.
Then selectMore options(the three lines).
Go toSettings, navigate toAuto-complete with trending searches, and tapDo not show popular searches.
reset your web client.
If popular searches still show up, drop off of your Google account and reboot your gadget again.
Log back in and check the results.
If the issue persists, reset your Chrome prefs.
Then selectReset and clean upand click onRestore prefs to their original defaults.
As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Chrome or switch to a different web client.
Additionally, block search cookies, clear your cache and update Chrome.
