If you want to disable this feature on Android or iOS, go togoogle.com.

Then selectMore options(the three lines).

Go toSettings, navigate toAuto-complete with trending searches, and tapDo not show popular searches.

If popular searches still show up, drop off of your Google account and reboot your gadget again.

Log back in and check the results.

If the issue persists, reset your Chrome prefs.

Then selectReset and clean upand click onRestore prefs to their original defaults.

As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Chrome or switch to a different web client.
