Microsoft Defender SmartScreen is a security service built into the Microsoft Edge online window.
Its designed to protect you against phishing and malware websites, malicious downloads, and potentially unwanted programs.
Alternatively, you may have privacy concerns about the data that Microsoft gets and how they will use it.
This data is then stored anonymously to contribute to Microsofts security services.
Thankfully its not too difficult to shut down the feature.
tap the triple-dot icon in the top-right corner, then choose parameters.
Tip: Disabling Microsoft Defender SmartScreen will also kill the feature below it Block potentially unwanted apps.
