To the right of your profile picture, youll see anicon of a QR code.
Tap the QR code icon and the Scan Code tab to add your new contact.
But what if the person you want to add as a contact is not there?
They can also send a screenshot if the QR code is visible.
WhatsApp will let you know if the QR code youre trying to scan is invalid.
Tap on thethree dotsat the top right and go toSettings.
Tap on theQR code iconto the right of your profile picture.
At the top, youll see your profile picture with any text you may have added.
Go to theMy Code tab, where you should see your QR code.
Tap thethree dots at the top right and choose theReset QR codeoption.
Youll get a warning message that your current QR code will no longer work.
If you want to continue, tap on the Reset option, and youll get a new one.
